Where the feet go, the mind may follow

Where the feet go, the mind may follow is visually inspired by its surrounding environment. By using colours that represent joy and calm, I have created symbols that encourage us to pause, breathe, reflect and meditate.

The winding orange Caboolture River, traversed by many bridges in real life, snakes through the footpath to meet the giant fig trees that are patterned with the grid of well used busy roads. How often do we make time to pause and observe these beautiful parts of nature?

The infinity symbol, often used as a point of focus for meditation, interestingly follows the same outline as Centenary Lakes and prompts us to reflect on the last time we let our minds go still. The multicoloured shapes offer a symbolic portal to transport our minds, but to where? That’s up to the viewer.

Find this bright and colourful artwork winding around Centenary Lakes, Caboolture. It is next to footbridge closest to Morayfield Road.
